A disability does not preclude someone from being a contributing member of our community. At Marion DD, we offer a variety of programs and opportunities for our individuals to be involved in the community in which they live and work.

Our Aktion Club, a division of Kiwanis International, is an active organization that supports a variety of civic causes. We also sponsor a book club, host an annual St. Patrick's Day breakfast, and a golf outing.

We also support such programs as Special Olympics, the Autism Connection, and a child safety seat program.

As individuals with disabilities become more active in our communities, expectations of them increase. As expectations increase, so does their acceptance as contributing members of society.
